RYA Powerboat Level 2

This packed two day course offers a thorough introduction to small powerboat handling.

Course Overview:
Level 2 is the basic level required for the International Certificate of Competence for under 10m vessels (UK nationals only). The minimum age is 12 years but all drivers under 16 years must be supervised by a competent adult. Some previous boating experience will be an advantage.

Level: Beginner
Qualification: RYA Level 2 Certificate (Coastal Planing Craft or Displacement Craft - please specify)
Course fee: £280

Duration: 2 Days (consecutive)

Format:
Launching and recovery, boat handling, securing to a buoy, leaving and coming alongside, man overboard.
Change of clothes

Requirements/ Prerequisites:

No previous experience required, however this course may proceed Level 1. Minimum age; 12 Years

Ability after course:
Self- sufficient powerboater in the right conditions, aware of own limitations and those of the craft.
Candidates may go on to commercially endorse their Powerboat Level 2 to use this qualification int he commercial marine environment.
